A Place for Worship

The central purpose of Masjid-e-Irfan is to provide a place where people can come together to remember and worship our Creator in congregational prayer and remembrance. A place in which we can be at ease with our thoughts and reflections and feel humility in our hearts in the company of others.

Drawing inspiration from the rich and diverse heritage of Islam, the Prayer Hall will offer a sanctity and aesthetic richness from which each individual who frequents it can find peace, comfort and spiritual fulfilment.

A Place for Knowledge

Islam is a religion based upon knowledge for it is ultimately knowledge of the Oneness of God combined with faith and total commitment to Him that saves humankind. The text of the Qur’an is replete with verses inviting us to use our intellect to ponder, to think and to know, for the goal of human life is to discover the Truth which is none other than worshipping God in his Oneness.

With this ethos in mind, Masjid-e-Irfan will aspire to be a learning centre of excellence committed to the pursuit and dissemination of knowledge through classes, study circles, lectures and exhibitions.

A Place for Fellowship

The Qur’an gives us numerous commands considering how we should interact in fellowship with one another. Masjid-e-Irfan will be a place where people can come together in an inspiring and uplifting environment that is consecrated to the observance of Divine guidance and dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, unity and working for the common good of people.

A Place for Comfort

Throughout the history of Islam, the Masjid has always had an important social role to play, but never before has the need to offer support and care for vulnerable people been so high. The doors of Masjid-e-Irfan will be open at all times and to all people, with a caring team on standby around the clock offering support, advice and guidance to anyone who needs it.

At Masjid-e-Irfan, we won’t consider it our place to judge people. As Muslims, we will provide a sanctuary for all brothers and sisters in humanity.

A Place for Celebration

Marriages, family events, festivals – these are all happy and special occasions that have great resonance and meaning in our lives. But how often do we see the masjids as a central backdrop to such events?

Masjid-e-Irfan, drawing inspiration from the example of the Prophet (SAW) and recognising our need for being positioned as the spiritual and social hub of the community, is a place where all people can come together in fellowship to celebrate such religious festivals and life events.
